Student Book Review - Jen Rowe

Magic Under the Glass / Jaclyn Dolamore
By Jen Rowe

Nimira is a foreign performer forced to dance for mere pennies. One performance becomes the performance of her life when the rich and powerful sorcerer Hollin Parry offers her the chance of a lifetime -- to accompany a piano playing automatron. All of her dreams were laid in front of her but upon accepting, Nimira discovers she has become a key component in a conspiracy that involves ghosts, demons, a supposed mad woman, treason, magic, and the possibility of love. The spirit of the dashing fairy prince is trapped within the automatron and only Namira can find a way to break through this curse. With a seemingly-unavoidable war with the fairies, Nimira must discover the truth about Hollin Parry hidden behind the lies before it is too late.

After checking this book out of the library, I couldn’t put it down. It’s a love story with a sinister twist, and I’d read it again in a heartbeat!
