Read for a Lifetime

“Read for a Lifetime” is an Illinois State Library program designed to encourage high school students to develop a lifelong habit of reading for information and pleasure. The State Library selects a list of twenty five titles. Students register in the Fall, read at least four books from the designated list, and report the titles they have read in the Spring. Twenty-one students registered for the program. Nine students(*) received certificates signed by the Illinois Secretary of State. Amanda Krawiec and Jennifer Rowe received special awards for reading all twenty-five titles.
