Read for a Lifetime

To read or not to read? That is a silly question.

It is time to register for “Read for a Lifetime,” a program sponsored by the Illinois State Library.

To participate you need to:
• Sign up with the Librarian or any teacher by October 28
• Read at least four books from the designated list
• Keep a list of the books you read
• Submit your list to the Librarian by April 9, 2012.

In return, you will:
• Have fun reading good stories
• Receive a certificate from the Illinois Secretary of State
• Possibly earn a prize for reading the entire list
• Receive drink and/or food coupons from local merchants during the year
• Enjoy a party with really good food.
• Expand your general knowledge
• Improve your vocabulary
• Improve your reading comprehension and writing skills
• Improve your classroom performance/ grades
• Boost your test scores
